The East Hartford Police Department is committed to ensuring the safety and well being of East Hartford’s citizens and visitors to the community. We are committed to enforcing the state’s laws and town’s ordinances vigorously, fairly and impartially. As stated in our Mission Statement, we will "Safeguard life and property, Preserve the peace, Enforce the law, Prevent and detect crime, Provide a safe community, Enhance the quality of life, and Protect the rights of all citizens." We do so while respecting the dignity and rights of all with whom we come in contact and with respect for the trust and faith that the citizens of the community have placed in us.
