Motorcycle Safety

Most recent traffic information shows that motorcycle riders continue to be overrepresented in fatal traffic crashes. In 2019, 5,014 motorcyclists died nationwide and in Connecticut there were 46 fatalities. To keep everyone safe, we urge drivers and motorcyclists to share the road, be alert and observe posted speed limits.  Motorcyclists should also make themselves visible, use DOT-compliant motorcycle helmets, and to always ride sober.
