East Hartford Police Department announces Accreditation Milestone
The East Hartford Police Department proudly announces its endorsement of Connecticut POST-C State Tier III Advanced Accreditation, voted by the POST Counsel Accreditation Sub-Committee on April 30, 2025, and approved unanimously by POST Council on May 8th, 2025. This milestone reflects the department’s unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards in law enforcement and professional excellence.
The accreditation process underscores the department’s focus on transparency, accountability, and building trust within the community. It affirms a priority of best practices, enhancing both operational efficiency and public safety. The East Hartford Police Department is also internationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), and the recent Tier III State Accreditation endorsement further reinforces the departments commitment forward, demonstrating a continuous effort to enhance our services and operations.
