National Night Out 2020 is Cancelled

East Hartford, CT- National Night Out 2020, scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, is canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.

Like so many conferences, meetings, and events that have been cancelled this year for the same reasons, we’ve had to make this difficult decision as well.  By now we are typically far into the early logistical arrangements and donation commitments that need to be made for big events like this, and we’ve been unable to do so with so much uncertainty.  Understanding that this is such a great community event, we cannot ask for donations when so much of our population is out of work and the risk of spreading this virus still exists.  We feel we had no choice in order to protect the safety and health of our town and community.  

Plans are already underway for National Night Out next year – AUGUST 3, 2021.
