EHPD's "No Shave November" Fundraiser

EHPD No Shave November

The East Hartford Police Department is proud to announce that officers are participating in the “No-Shave November” fundraising event that will last throughout the month of November. PArticipants will put their razors aside for the month of November while also raising funds for cancer patients.

For the past 30 years, the Connecticut Cancer Foundation (CCF) has been committed to reducing the burden of cancer for Connecticut cancer patients and their families both financially and emotionally. CCF is a non-profit organization that coordinates fundraisers, allowing people to have fun while also raising money for cancer patients.  It is a great way for communities and agencies to come together for a special cause.

Starting on November 1, 2018, members of EHPD will volunteer to put their razors away for 30 days. During this time, friends, families, and members of our community can go online and make donations to support our EHPD team.  Last year, Ledyard along with East Hampton Police Department raised $1,700 - 100% of which went to CT cancer patients. CCF is expanding this event and has invited police departments from all over Connecticut to participate.

Throughout the month of November EHPD will be uploading periodic group photos of participants to the Police Department’s webpage and CCF No-Shave November website showing the beard growth.

Those who wish to donate can write checks, made out to CT Cancer Foundation with EHPD in the memo, or they can donate online at HERE to support the EHPD team while donating directly to CCF.

As always, the EHPD team appreciates your support!
