East Hartford Seeking Feedback On Zoning Changes

East Hartford Seeking Feedback On Zoning Changes

East Hartford–The Planning and Zoning Commission has been working on updating the Zoning Regulations and is now seeking community feedback.  The zoning regulations contain key requirements and guidelines for land use and development in East Hartford.

The Commission initiated the update to reorganize the regulations to make them easy to use, revise sections to make them easy to understand, modify the regulations to address important issues, and incorporate statutory changes.

The latest version of the draft regulations and information about the major changes is available on the Planning and Zoning Commission page of the Town website here.

The meeting will be held on Thursday November 3 at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers at Town Hall.  There will be a short presentation describing the update and then the remainder of the meeting will be for community input and feedback. The meeting will be accessible remotely at +1 929-235-8441; ID: 740085780#.

For people unable to attend the meeting, comments may be sent to Steve Hnatuk, Interim Town Planner, at shnatuk@easthartfordct.gov

Following the community feedback session, the Planning and Zoning Commission will further review and refine the regulations before scheduling a public hearing on adoption.
