You could win a $50 gift card by supporting East Hartford retailers and restaurants this Holiday season!
The Town of East Hartford is pleased to announce another contest to encourage area residents to support local businesses. The "East Hartford Shops" Contest will reward a total of twelve lucky winners with a $50 gift card to an East Hartford retailer or restaurant of their choice! Participants may enter by submitting a receipt showing a purchase of at least $10 at any East Hartford retailer or restaurant, excluding grocery stores and convenience stores, dated during the current week of play. The deadline to enter for each week of play will be at 11:59 PM on Sunday evenings, with three winners chosen on the following Monday. The receipt must be from a business located exclusively in East Hartford or clearly show an East Hartford address. Individual participants may enter once each week. Participants may only win once. Employees of the Town of East Hartford and members of their immediate household are not eligible for prizes. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
All winners and entrants agree that: (i) their name may be released by the Town of East Hartford for publicity purposes; and (ii) their name and e-mail address may be subject to disclosure under the State of Connecticut’s Freedom of Information laws.
Following the weekly closure of entries, the Office of Planning & Development will select three winners using Excel’s random number generator. Winners will be contacted via email to arrange for receiving a prize. Should a winner fail to claim the gift card within fourteen days of notice, they shall become ineligible for the gift card and a new winner will be selected using the above procedure.
The weeks of play are as follows:
- Monday, December 7, through Sunday, December 13, drawing on Monday, December 14
- Monday, December 14, through Sunday, December 20, drawing on Monday, December 21
- Monday, December 21, through Sunday, December 27, drawing on Monday, December 28
- Monday, December 28, through Sunday, January 3, drawing on Monday, January 4
