Permit Requirements and Guidelines
Building & Zoning permits go together most of the time
Zoning Permits accompany Building Permit applications for projects involving new construction or building additions, changes of use, exterior changes to a building (excluding siding, roofing, and windows). When Zoning Permits are not required a building permits (life safety/structural) are always required. Building permits cannot not be issued until the Zoning Permit has been approved by the Zoning Enforcement Officer (ZEO).
