What does the pass allow me to do?
Passes admit a set number of people to a museum or attraction for free or reduced admission.

How do I check out a pass at the library?

  • Most passes are printable (look for the printer icon). You may print the pass at home, or library staff can print it for you. While some museums accept electronic passes, others require a printed paper pass. We recommend bringing a printed copy of your pass, along with your photo ID and library card.
  • Other passes must be checked out from the library. These passes may be picked up at the Children’s Desk beginning at 3:00 PM on the day before your reservation and must be returned there by 2:00 PM on the day after your visit. Late or missing passes will result in a replacement fee equal to the cost of the pass.
  • East Hartford cardholders may reserve passes up to 90 days in advance. Non–East Hartford residents may reserve passes only on the day they plan to visit and must call the library at 860-290-4330 or visit the library in person to reserve a same-day pass. A valid adult Connecticut library card is required.
  • Reserve a pass online, by phone (860-290-4330), or in person.
