Get a Library Card

Who Can Apply:
East Hartford residents of all ages can apply for a library card in person. Please bring:

• A photo ID
• Current proof of East Hartford residency

For Children:
Children 13 and under must be accompanied by a caregiver when applying for a library card.

Lost Cards:

• $5 to replace within the first 3 months
• $1 from 3 months up to 1 year
• Free after 1 year

With your library card you will receive:

• Full access to our circulating collections
• Picking up holds and requests (in the lobby or at the walk-up window)
• Our library is fine free! (lost or damaged items not included)

Use your library card number to access our digital resources including Job Now, Research IT, Consumer Reports, and Ancestry.com.
