Finding employment can be a challenging process. East Hartford Works is designed to provide residents with the tools and resources they need to succeed in today's competitive job market. By connecting job seekers with support they need, this program fosters economic growth and strengthens the East Hartford community. 

Career services are supervised by Sarah Eiseman, CPRW, CCSP, Head of Workforce Development & Digital Inclusion (WDDI) at the library. A seasoned public librarian, she previously established a successful Career Services program at the Wallingford Public Library in 2020, providing both one-on-one and classroom-based instruction on various topics related to the job search process to the community.  
 
Leveraging her previous background in Human Resources, Recruiting, and Professional Development, Sarah guides clients in crafting compelling resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and interview preparation in a variety of industries and experience levels. She helps clients master good habits for job seeking and preparing for employment. She has worked with a diverse clientele, from recently justice-involved individuals seeking their first jobs to seasoned professionals aiming for leadership positions. Sarah is passionate about empowering individuals in the East Hartford community in their career journeys.
