Teen programs are open to participants ages 11 and up, unless otherwise noted.

Crafts

Drop-in Teen Crafts
Tuesdays, June 18 & 25, July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

Drop by to try out a different craft each week: metal stamping, wire work, paper folding, and more!

Stellar Paper Folding
Thursday, June 20, 6:00 – 7:30 PM
Come and learn how to make tiny stars out of folded paper and how to turn them into earrings. Then make folded paper boxes to keep them in.

Paracord & Floss Bracelets
Friday, July 5, 3:00 – 4:30 PM
Make a survival bracelet from paracord and make fashionable floss bracelets from embroidery thread.

Unicorn Poop
Friday, July 12, 3:00 – 4:30 PM
Stop by to create colorful unicorn poop (aka slime) to take home!

Wire Star Pendants
Thursday, July 25, 6:00 – 7:30 PM

Want to try sushi but don’t like fish? Try these sweet alternatives! Also try your artistic skills at molding Starbursts into bright and tasty flowers.

Creative Arts at the Makerspace
Every Monday, 4:00 – 7:00 PM
Stop by the Makerspace on Mondays to explore your creativity on your own, or as part of a group project. Library staff will offer a range of projects, including animation, 3D modeling, Silhouette Cameo vinyl cutting, jewelry-making and more. No registration required. For teens and adults.

Learn about our green screen during Creative Arts @ the Makerspace! Take a fun picture or make a short movie.

Creative Arts: Stop Motion
June 10, July 8, August 12
Create fun stop motion animations with clay, action figures, and objects. Some of the projects will be added to a group project.

Bring a small object to 3D scan or we can scan you!

Creative Arts: Green Screen Comic Page
August 5
Pick your costume, post on the green screen and you become the hero in your own comic page!
