We encourage you to attend if you know someone in an unhealthy relationship or a family struggling with abuse. No registration required.

Meet the Museum (choose a session)

Thursday, August 15, 6:00—7:30 PM
What’s the East Hartford connection to the gunpowder made for the Continental Army during the American Revolution? And the first glassworks in Connecticut? What’s up with the balloon diorama on the first floor of the library, and why is there a jet engine model in the children’s room? Where was the Podunks’ primary summer encampment? Why is there so much related to broadleaf tobacco around the library? And who’s this Henry Hammond Ahl guy whose paintings are up in the library atrium? Come learn about this and other nifty bits of East Hartford history. We’ll have artifacts from the library’s museum collection for you to see and handle. Free and open to the public, and suitable for all ages. Click on the date to reigster for a reminder.
