East Hartford, CT—The East Hartford Public Library is proud to make “Workforce Resources” available on its website. The list of resources, created in collaboration with East Hartford CONNects, consists of electronic resources from e-books to free online job training and skills building of which East Hartford residents can take advantage.

“In these unique and difficult economic times, it’s fortunate that the East Hartford Public Library is able to offer patrons and residents free resources to aid them,” said Mayor Marcia Leclerc.

These resources include, among others, the database JobNow! and Skill Up CT, free training offered through the Governor’s Workforce Council. E-books and JobNow! require a library card. Residents who do not have library cards can call the library at 860-290-4330, Monday-Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, to get a free temporary card. The other resources are free.

“We are glad to collaborate with East Hartford CONNects to offer these resources to our patrons,” said Library Director Sarah Kline Morgan.

The free resources can be found here.

This page will be updated with new resources as they become available. Library patrons and town residents are urged to check back frequently and to offer suggestions for additions. Training is also available via phone or Zoom session. Call 860-290-4330, Monday-Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, to set up a session.
