Vaccine Clinic 3/7/2024
The East Hartford Health Department, in partnership with First Choice Health Centers, is offering residents an opportunity to receive their second dose of the Shingles vaccine, along with various other vaccinations. The clinic will be held on Thursday, March 7th from 12:00-3:00 PM at the Senior Center (15 Milbrook Drive).
Residents who received their first Shingles vaccine dose between September 7, 2023 and January 7, 2024 will be eligible to receive their second dose at this clinic. Additionally, residents can receive their first dose of the Shingles vaccine at this clinic along with COVID-19, influenza, pneumococcal, and RSV vaccinations.
Appointments for the vaccine clinic can be scheduled by contacting the East Hartford Health Department at 860-291-7324. Residents are advised to bring their insurance and ID cards. If you do not have insurance or want to speak to a public health nurse about vaccination, please call the Health Department.
Based on the data and evidence available to date, the Health Department stresses that these vaccinations are safe and effective. If residents did not receive the COVID-19, influenza, RSV, or pneumococcal vaccinations in the fall of 2023, it is not too late to receive them now!
