Recall on Sanford Family 6-Player Croquet Sets

Recall on Sanford Family 6-Player Croquet Sets

The East Hartford Health Department wants to make residents aware of the recent recall on Sanford Family 6-Player Croquet Sets for high lead levels. The paint on the red and blue mallets, red hoop, and winning post contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban.

Lead is a metal that has been used in products such as paint, varnish, and gasoline. Lead exposure is especially concerning for children, pregnant women, and adults with long term exposure as lead poisoning can cause brain damage, reduced attention span, learning disabilities, developmental delays, hearing loss and other health problems.

All children between 9 months and 35 months must have their blood tested annually for lead and more frequently if blood levels are 3.5 µg/dL or greater. For further guidance on lead testing for children, please refer to the CT-DPH Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program or call the East Hartford Health Department at 860-291-7324 to speak with a public health nurse.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled family croquet sets and contact DOM Sports for information on how to email a photo of the recalled product being disposed of to support@domsports.com to receive the free replacement parts. DOM Sports and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers.
