East Hartford Health Department Conducts a Rapid Community Assessment March 18-24, 2024

East Hartford, CT – The East Hartford Health Department is conducting a Rapid Community Assessment from March 18th to March 24th. All East Hartford residents and Town and Board of Education employees that are 18 years old or older are eligible to participate. Surveys will take only 5-10 minutes, will be available online in English and Spanish, and will be anonymous.

This survey will focus the community’s perception of COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations. It is important for us as the local health department to understand the different issues that may affect whether people in the community get vaccinated or not, and what we can do to ensure they have access to these vaccinations.

“Our objectives with this survey are to learn about people’s attitudes about vaccines, things that make it easier or harder to get vaccinated, to learn about your experiences with vaccine-related information, and gather how you think vaccine confidence and access to vaccines can be increased,” said Deputy Director, Amanda Garrity.

In addition to the online survey, which can be accessed HERE, members and volunteers from the East Hartford Health and Human Services Department will be at various locations and events around Town during the week to promote the survey and conduct short interviews. All data collected will be anonymous.
