The Engineering Division now uses ViewPointCloud for our permitting system. Contractors need to create a user on the East Hartford permitting system (even if you've used ViewPointCloud in another community) to access the system. You will have a dashboard to monitor your submissions and the status of the Town's review. We are also able to accept electronic payments (credit card or eCheck) through the system. Note that there are fees required when paying online.

Use "Login" if you've already created a user or use "SignUp" to create a user. Once you are logged in, you can manage your applications and permits using the "My Account" button. The main page (a.k.a. the "Home" page) is where you select the appropriate department/division and access the available online applications.
NOTE: As of August 17, 2022, multiple work locations can be added to a single permit application. Note that standard permit fees per location continue to apply.

For driveway work that expands the limits of the driveway beyond the current extent, the proposed expansion must be submitted for review. The Engineering Division and the Zoning Enforcement officer will review the request. There is no fee for this review. To submit a driveway expansion request, use the Driveway Widening/Expansion request type in ViewPermitCloud.
