Patron Behavior Policy

The library wishes to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for all users. The following guidelines underlie the more specific provisions set forth below:

Patrons will treat the Library staff and other patrons with respect. Activities that interfere with the ability of other patrons to use the library are not permitted. Patrons will be respectful of Library property and the property of others. Damaging, defacing, or misusing library materials, equipment, or facilities is not allowed.

All staff have the authority to address violations of the following rules. The severity of the situation will determine if  patrons  will be given a verbal warning, will be asked to leave, or whether the police department will be  contacted. For continued, or serious violations, consequences may include a short or long-term ban of the patron from the Library.
