Virtual Meeting Room service now available from the East Hartford Public Library

library virtual room use

East Hartford, CT – Is your organization looking for technology to support virtual meetings? Are you reconvening and struggling with logistics?

The East Hartford Public Library has launched a Virtual Meeting Room service via Zoom to provide a safe and easy alternative to in-person meetings for nonprofits and community groups. Participating organizations will have access to the library’s upgraded Zoom account for meetings at their convenience, supported by library staff, who can provide Zoom management during meetings as well as training in advance for attendees or organizers.

This new service is funded by a grant from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving to support civic and resident engagement in the region.

Before the pandemic, the meeting rooms at Raymond Library were well-used by a wide variety of organizations. The rooms have been closed for the duration of the pandemic and are expected to remain so through the summer, when they will be employed for other functions. This new Virtual Meeting Room service, supported by the Hartford Foundation, will fill a gap in services while our lower level meeting spaces remain closed to the public.

To become a Virtual Meeting Room user, send an e-mail to ehpl-reference@easthartfordct.gov. Participants may not be profit-making entities, and must serve East Hartford residents.
