Town of East Hartford Offers Free Charging Stations, WiFi

East Hartford, CT–The town of East Hartford is offering free charging stations for residents who are still experiencing power outages due to Tropical Storm Isaias.

The first charging station is located outside of the East Hartford Public Library at 840 Main Street. Additionally, free WiFi is also accessible from the East Hartford Public Library parking lot and the library lawn. Both the charging station and WiFi are available during library’s business hours.

Another charging station is available indoors at the Cultural Community Center, located at 50 Chapman Place. Residents are asked to bring their own charging devices. To assist with social distancing, families are asked to send in one family member if possible. The charging station at the Cultural Center will be available today, Wednesday, August 5, from 4 to 8 pm and tomorrow, Thursday, August 6, from 9 am to 4:30 pm.

Individuals are asked to wear masks and follow social distancing measures when using these charging stations.
