Art on Display at Raymond Library

Fall 2023
Paul Ott show

September is a perfect time to explore the art on display at the Raymond Library (840 Main St., East Hartford). In addition to our permanent collections, on display throughout the building, we have two temporary shows to highlight:

Images by Paul Ott in the Atrium
Photographs by Paul Ott will hang in the library's atrium gallery through November 26, 2023 with a reception hosted by the artist on Sunday, October 22. Paul Ott's work has been called dramatic, powerful, sensual and meditative. In his black & white photographs, using vintage glass and a matte textured paper, he asks the viewer to think about the images differently and to view them with more scrutiny than one would normally. And that is a beautiful thing!

Featured Artists on the Lower Level
In lieu of a competitive art show, works from selected local artists are on display in our lower level hallway gallery from September 16 - October 31. View artwork by Alyssa Avila, William Miller, Jeremiah Fuentes, Larry Flanigan, and Ray Tubbs during library open hours. Stop by to browse the art and sign the guestbook.
