The Coca-Cola bottling facility has been a presence on Main Street in East Hartford since 1945.  It added nearly 250,000 square feet of space in 1998, and a $23 million renovation in 2015 added a state-of-the-art automated warehouse system, capable of handling more than two million cases of drinks per year.  The Atlanta-based Coca-Cola Company recently sold the facility to a New England-based bottling group, which now has more independence to operate the location in accordance with our region’s needs.  The new ownership has expressed a desire to have a greater community focus in East Hartford, where they employ 500 workers.

Mayor Marcia Leclerc visited Coca-Cola in 2017 as part of her Business Visit program, helping to ensure that the Town understands the needs of local businesses.
