Following the successful of the return of the Business Visit program in 2017, Mayor Marcia Leclerc has continued to venture to East Hartford’s growing businesses to get an up-close and personal look at the work they do and to best understand how the Town of East Hartford can be supportive.  She joins key Town staff members including Development Director Eileen Buckheit, Finance Director Michael Walsh, and Police Chief Scott Sansom in these meetings to view the unique operations of local businesses and in communicating with their owners and workers to stay up to date on their needs.

In 2018, the Mayor and her staff have visited:

Event Resources – A comprehensive event staging and production company

Hall of Fame Silver Lanes – A bowling alley and family-fun center featuring an arcade and laser tag

BioSafe Systems – A family-owned manufacturer of environmentally-friendly food safety, crop protection, and water treatment products

Upcoming visits are scheduled with:

National Sign – A signage and graphics company that produces back-lit signs, billboards, vehicle wraps, wall coverings, and other marketing materials

ATI Metals – An aerospace components manufacturer that uses precision machining services to create both standard and complex components for larger aircraft manufacturers

Dattco  – A regional leader in bus transportation, featuring charter buses, school busing services, shuttle services, and regional bus transit
