State-Funded Town Road Projects
The Town of East Hartford applies for State of Connecicut and Federal funds, as opportunities become available, for the rehabilitation or reconstruction of Town-owned roads. The Town was successful at obtaining State/Federal funding for local roads in the past. Examples include:
- Burnham Street (immediately east of Ellington Road)
- Governor Street (Prospect Street to Main Street)
- Prospect Street
- School Street
- Roberts Street
- Main Street (Sutton Avenue to Maple Street)
- Riverside Drive
Currently, the Town is finalizing a major Reconstruction of Brewer Street.
Future projects include:
- Additional Reconstruction of Brewer Street (Jefferson Lane to Forbes Street)
- Silver Lane Sidewalks and Pedestrian Lights (Applegate Lane to Forbes Street)
- Goodwin Street Reconstruction (Ellington Road to railroad crossing)
