Summer reading is for everyone!

The East Hartford Public Library has a summer reading incentive program with prizes for all ages! Registration begins on Monday, June 8 when participants can start logging their reading into our mobile-friendly online system. The library summer reading program also counts towards the Governor’s Summer Reading challenge, a project of the Connecticut State Library and the CT Department of Education.

Sign up for Summer Reading here: http://easthartford.readsquared.com
Our program begins on Monday, June 8, and runs through Monday, August 31.

Adults (ages 18+)
Visit the Raymond Circulation Desk/Wickham to sign up and redeem prizes.
Grand Prize Drawing: must read at least 5 books to be eligible.

Children and Teens (ages 0–17)
Visit the Raymond Children’s Desk/Wickham to sign up and redeem prizes.
New this year! For every book read or activity completed, kids earn one raffle ticket. Once they reach 10 tickets — through any combination of books and activities — they will receive a book and a prize. Participants can earn up to 21 tickets throughout the summer.

Books must be entered into ReadSquared by Monday, August 31st. Download ReadSquared from your app store to easily log activity wherever you are this summer. Use the camera on your mobile device to scan the ISBN of each book read to quickly enter your reading.

Children, teens, and families can join us for special programs throughout the summer to help reach their reading goals.
