Presentation on the Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Youth Mental Health

East Hartford, CT-The East Hartford Youth Service Department in collaborating with the East Hartford Family Resource Centers invite you to a parent presentation on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on youth mental health. This presentation will be held on Wednesday, March 9th, from 6-7pm via Zoom. Those interested must call the Family Resource Center at 860-622-5515 to register and receive the Zoom link. Information will be presented by East Hartford Youth Services staff.

This presentation is a place for parents to learn more about the drastic increase in anxiety, depression, social isolation and many other mental health symptoms and struggles our youth are facing as the pandemic continues. Parents will learn what to be aware of in their children's experience as well as warning signs of what to watch for that may indicate a child is experiencing a mental health crisis. Information will also be provided on how to get help, both in an emergent crisis and through longer term therapeutic services. An added benefit of this presentation is reassurance that if your child or teen is struggling you are not alone. Learn tips for how to support them as well as yourselves in such a difficult time. For more information please call the East Hartford Youth Services Department at 860-291-7179. We hope to see you there.
