East Hartford Opens Transfer Station for Extended Hours

transfer station expanded hours

East Hartford, CT–The Town of East Hartford has expanded its Transfer Station operations to support residential Storm Isaias clean-up efforts. The Transfer Station will be open daily starting today, Monday, August 10, 2020 through Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 7 am to 6 pm.

Disposal of brush debris will be FREE during these extended hours. Identification will be required as proof of residency.

On Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, the Transfer Station will continue its regular bulky waste disposal along with brush. Any delivery of bulky items will require a proper permit and tickets. Bulky permit applications and information can be found on the Town’s webpage at www.easthartfordct.gov/waste-services.

Residents are asked to direct brush or bulky waste questions to Public Works’ Waste and Recycling line, 860-291-7337. Since call volumes continue to be high, please leave a message and Public Works staff will return calls before the end of the work day. We will continue to assess the debris situation and will adjust our response accordingly.
