This year, the Municipal Election will take place on November 7, 2023.

Registered voters who will be voting by absentee ballot should fill out the absentee ballot application and return it to the Town Clerk's Office at 740 Main Street, East Hartford, CT 06108.

In order to be able to vote in the Municipal Election, citizens must be registered voters. Individuals who have registered in the past and have not changed their residential address since then, do not have to register again. However, those who have never registered or have registered, but changed their address since then, must register again with their new address.

REGISTER TO VOTE HERE

You can register to vote in person at the Registrars of Voters Office located at the Cultural Center (50 Chapman Pl) or at the Town Clerk’s Office at Town Hall (740 Main St).  You can also register by mail: Registrar of Voters 740 Main St, East Hartford, CT 06108. Please register as soon as possible to ensure enough time to be processed.

  • Tuesday, October 31, 2023 is the LAST DAY for ONLINE (11:59pm) and IN-PERSON (9:00am to 8:00pm) voter registration. All mail-in registrations MUST be post marked on or before this date in order for you to vote on November 7th. The Registrar’s Office will be open on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 between 9:00am and 8:00pm.
     
  • On Monday, November 6, 2023, the Registrar’s Office will offer a special registration session and will be open from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Only persons that turned 18, became a US Citizen or moved to East Hartford after OCTOBER 31 may register to vote BUT MUST appear IN-PERSON.
