ELECTION INFORMATION

  • Online Voter Registration Deadline - October 31st (11:59 pm)
  • Mail Postmark Voter Registration Deadline - October 31st 
     
  • In-Person Voter Registration Deadline -  October 31st 
    Registrars of Voters will be open Tuesday, October 31, 2023 between 9:00am and 8:00pm.

After October 31st

Those whose rights as to age, citizenship, or residence, mature after October 31st may apply by appointment in the office on a daily basis until the opening of the limited session on November 7, 2023. 

Registrars of Voters will be open for in-person registration for those individuals who have turned 18, moved to East Hartford, or became a U.S. citizen after October 31, 2023. Hours of operation are Tuesday, October 24 and Thursday, October 26 at 11-3 PM, and Tuesday, October 31, from 9AM-5PM. 

Election Day Registration 

Election Day Registration permits anyone to register and vote in person on Election Day who meets the eligibility requirements for voting in this state and is not already registered, OR is registered in one town but has moved to another town. 

Election Day Registration (EDR) is not available at your polling place, but is available at the designated EDR location which will be in the Community Cultural Center Auditorium, beginning at 6 am and ending at 8 pm. You will register and vote at this designated EDR. 

Please plan to arrive early in the day as there may be long lines. You will need to provide proof of identity and residency.
