Tax Credits and Exemptions

East Hartford, CT— Effective February 4, 2021, Governor Ned Lamont, by Executive Order 10, has waived the re-filing requirement for anyone receiving tax credits or exemption benefits through the Elderly homeowners or Additional Veteran’s State and local option programs due to the COVID 19 pandemic. This means, existing recipients do not need to reapply for an exception as they will be rolled over. The tax bill in July 2021 will reflect the same level of benefit as in July 2019 without any application being completed during this regular filing period of February 1 – May 15, 2021. Ho

New applicants must have their applications in by the May 15, 2021 deadline.
