May 9th in the auditorium of the East Hartford Community Cultural Center, 50 Chapman Place, at 7:00 in the evening.  This is the Commission’s ninth annual international film series.  The series includes 4 films, one each on the second Saturday of the month, from January through April.  (Now running through May as the second film has been rescheduled due to weather)

The East Hartford Fine Arts Commission presents their fifth scheduled film in their Saturday Night Cinema series "Perfect Sense" from Scotland (2011).   This film is Rated R and runs 92 minutes.  The story follows a chef (Ewan McGregor) and a scientist (Eva Green) who fall in love as an epidemic begins to rob people of their sensory perceptions. Perfect Sense was named Best New British Feature at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in2011.  Jeff Shannon of rogerebert.com said, “Perfect Sense …is jarringly effective and it ultimately packs a solid emotional punch.”
