Mayor Leclerc Issues a Declaration of Civil Preparedness Emergency

All East Hartford Town Buildings Are Closed to the Public

(March 16, 2020) East Hartford, CT—Mayor Marcia A. Leclerc has issued a Declaration of Civil Preparedness Emergency today in response to COVID-19. In addition, Mayor Leclerc has announced that effective at 12 PM, Monday, March 16, 2020 all town buildings, including the East Hartford Town Hall will be closed to the public. Staff will continue to report to work at this time. A partial activation of our Emergency Operation Center will begin at noon today for monitoring.

“The safety and wellbeing of our employees and the community are my main priority,” said Mayor Marcia Leclerc. “It is imperative that these procedures are in place to limit exposure risks.”

There will be limited remote services available to the public while we convert to providing our core services remotely via web, phone and email.
