Town of East Hartford to Host Annual Donate Life Flag Raising Ceremony
The Town of East Hartford invites community members to attend its annual Donate Life Flag Raising Ceremony on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Town Hall, located at 740 Main Street. The ceremony will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. and members of the public are welcome to attend.
Each year, the Town of East Hartford gathers to raise the Donate Life flag in honor of the donors whose generosity has helped save and improve countless lives. The ceremony is held in April in recognition of National Donate Life Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation.
This year’s event will feature remarks and attendance from living donors, transplant recipients, East Hartford Mayor Connor Martin, and special guests from both the East Hartford community and the medical field.
With more than 103,000 individuals currently on the transplant waiting list in the United States, the Town of East Hartford recognizes the importance of spreading awareness and encouraging conversations about organ, eye, and tissue donation.
Community members are encouraged to attend this meaningful event as the town comes together to honor donors, celebrate recipients, and promote the lifesaving impact of donation.
