Why was my trash not collected?

There are several reasons why your trash may not have been collected.  Below are some common reasons:

• Items may be too large or heavy.
• Unacceptable material such as dirt, concrete, slate, stone, brick, stumps, sand, cement, asphalt or ceramics may be present in the barrel.
• Trash and/or recycling was not out before 5:00 a.m. on collection day.
• Vehicles may have blocked access to barrels.
• Refuse in any container other than the automated collection barrel (i.e. improper barrel or cardboard box).
• Trash items were outside the automated barrel.
• It was a Holiday- The number of holidays that result in waste pick up service delays will be reduced to 6 per year and can be found here
• It wasnt your pickup day - A street-by-street waste collection schedule is available here 
  
  *please check that the cart was not emptied before calling- lids may close after truck has set the cart back down *
