Sandwich with a Cop

Sandwich with a Cop

ALL ARE WELCOME!

East Hartford, CT— The East Hartford Police Department would like to invite you to the department’s regular “Sandwich With a Cop” event, which will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 20th at Subway Restaurant, located at 1210 Main Street, East Hartford, Connecticut.

In the spirit of our successful community outreach, community members are invited to join East Hartford Police Officers—over a sandwich—to discuss issues of concern and learn more about each other. There is no agenda, no speeches. Talk about your neighborhood, ask questions, share concerns, or stop by just to chat.

“When the police work with members of the community to establish how they want to be policed, it not only builds trust within the community, but opens lines of communication,” said Police Chief Scott Sansom. “Police and people of the community are partners, and having opportunities like this to get together in a non-emergency setting strengthens that ideal.  The more we get to know each other, the more we build upon community trust and effective policing, which translates into safer communities.

We encourage you to stop by and see us on your lunch break, everyone is welcome.
