East Hartford Police Department Welcomes New Officers

East Hartford, CT – The Town of East Hartford and the East Hartford Police Department welcomed three new police officers and an Animal Control Officer today at the East Hartford Public Safety Complex.

“East Hartford has one of the finest Police Departments in the state and that’s because of the men and women who serve as our police officers,” said Mayor Mike Walsh. “We are fortunate to be able to recruit capable, competent and diverse officers and provide them with the highest quality training that aligns with internationally-recognized CALEA standards, which helps them become a tremendous asset to our community. We welcome these new offices and wish them the best as they being their training."

“In order to continue providing the absolute best service to our community, we have to do our part ensuring our new officers continue to receive the finest training possible,” Chief Sansom said.  “These new officers are currently certified CT officers who have decided to make East Hartford their new home.  We will be with them every step of the way ensuring they have access to every resource they need in their journey,” stated Sansom.
