Welcome to East Hartford!

Greetings! It is a privilege and an honor to serve as the Mayor of East Hartford. Serving in office since January, 2011 and a lifelong resident, my affection and dedication to the town remains constant. East Hartford is a remarkable place to live, work and raise a family because it possesses a dynamic business environment while maintaining a friendly and unique small-town character. East Hartford is strategically positioned to access and serve the global economy.

At the same time it is also a friendly, affordable community rich in history and steeped in tradition. From historical buildings to major international manufacturing organizations, East Hartford has it all: a diverse population, capable workforce, magnificent recreational space and walking trails, great schools, dedicated civic organizations, a strong faith community, and citizens who are committed to making East Hartford a very special place to thrive.

My goal and dedication to building a better East Hartford includes business and industry development, providing strong leadership for economic development, education, public safety, and quality of life measures for the people who live, work and visit East Hartford.

Once known for extensive manufacturing companies, East Hartford is now celebrated for excellent schools, livable neighborhoods, quality governance and a pro-businesss mentality.

We strive to keep our New England heritage alive and at the same time welcome new ideas, commerce, and families to share in the traditions as well as contribute to the new and exciting activities that are available in our town. I invite you to take part in the many facets of the community that makes East Hartford a special place to live and work.

As your Mayor, I am committed to doing what it takes to foster a favorable economic climate and ensure prompt and courteous service by the town so the community may grow and flourish. My staff is always willing and equipped to help you and your business pertaining to the services we offer including permits, licensing and more.

In addition, I am always interested in your input. If you have any questions or issues that you would like to discuss, don't hesitate to pick up a phone and call me at (860) 291-7201.
