Zoning

The Zoning Division is responsible for administering and enforcing the Zoning Regulations of the Town of East Hartford. Our role includes reviewing proposed uses and development to ensure compliance with local zoning standards, responding to zoning complaints, and supporting the Zoning Board of Appeals.

We work in close coordination with the Department of Development and Planning to ensure that land use decisions support the town’s health, safety, and economic growth. If you are a new business or developer considering a project in East Hartford, we encourage you to contact the Planning Division for guidance before beginning the zoning review process.
