Property Maintenance Division

The Property Maintenance Division is responsible for enforcing the Town of East Hartford’s housing and blight codes. Our work includes inspecting residential and commercial properties to ensure compliance with minimum property maintenance standards and addressing issues related to blight, such as deteriorated structures, overgrown vegetation, and accumulation of debris.

We help maintain safe and healthy living conditions across East Hartford’s neighborhoods and business areas by responding to complaints, conducting inspections, and working with property owners to bring sites into compliance.

Office Hours

Inspector Walk-In Hours:

• Monday – Wednesday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• Thursday 8:30 - 6:30 PM
• Friday 8:30 - 12:30 PM

Please note that inspectors may be out in the field conducting inspections during the day. Appointments outside of walk-in hours may be scheduled upon request.
