EH WIC Celebrated 2023 World Breastfeeding Week

East Hartford WIC celebrated National Breastfeeding Month with a meet and greet in the park. The theme, “Enabling Breastfeeding, Making a Difference for Working Parents” was reflected with community resources: pumping support, baby massage, and women’s health representative. The highlight of the day was having a magical moment of 7 infants on picnic blankets mesmerized by their mom applying soothing massage techniques. “Enabling Breastfeeding” continues for the month of August with goody bags in the office and an interactive bulletin board with breastfeeding and back to work support information.
