BASEBALL CAMP

The East Hartford High School Summer Baseball Camp is specifically designed to develop each player's skills by teaching them the fundamentals of the game. This camp is designed not only to help participants learn and improve their skills, but to enjoy and have fun playing the game of baseball. Campers will be instructed in four phases of the game: Pitching, Hitting, Catching, and Fielding. Skill development in the areas of both hitting and position work will come from individual and group instruction.  The Hornets Baseball Camp will be run directly by the EHHS Coaching Staff and players in the program! Players should bring a snack, water and lunch.

PERFORMING ARTS SUMMER PROGRAM

This is an exciting, fun and highly charged summer   program!  Program will consist of three daily intensives: Acting, Musical Theater Movement and Performance. The classes consist of creative theater games, concentration exercises, voice and speech work and structured improvisation to improve performance.  Other topics include: monologue work, acting terminology, stage skills, script work and more! These classes help students build confidence and inspire their imagination in a fun and supportive environment! Participants will spend the afternoons in rehearsals that will culminate with an end of the week performance for family and friends, Friday at 2:00pm!  All levels of skill encouraged to attend! Program takes place Mon- Thus at Performing Arts Programs: Performing Arts        Programs Studio, 1732 Ellington Rd in South Windsor. 9:00 AM– 3:00 PM.  Friday’s Rehearsal and Performance will be at the East Hartford Community Cultural Center's Auditorium at 50 Chapman Place, East Hartford. Please pack a lunch and a snack.

This camp is designed to provide aspiring young basketball players a positive and structured environment to learn, develop, and improve their fundamental basketball skills while enjoying the game of basketball.  The coaching staff will focus on developing individual and team fundamental skills on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court while emphasizing the importance of teamwork, hard work, having a positive attitude, listening skills, and respecting the game. The goal is for everyone to improve their skills while having FUN. All players receive a camp t-shirt and basketball.  Please bring water and a lunch each day. Hornet’s Basketball Advanced Skills Camp is designed to provide aspiring basketball players with a positive environment to learn, develop, and enhance their basketball skills. The coaching staff will focus on developing individual and player specific skills on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court. The coaching staff will incorporate speed and agility drills along with strength and conditioning into individual basketball skills that will demand players to push themselves to the next level. Camp Objective- the Camp is designed to provide aspiring basketball players a positive and structured environment to learn, develop, and enhance their basketball skills while creating a competitive edge in their game.  All players receive a camp t-shirt and basketball.  Please bring water and a snack each day. This program is designed to build relationships between the East Hartford Youth, Police Officers and the community through positive engagement, and to provide a structured environment to learn, develop, and improve their basketball skills. The staff, made up of East Hartford Police Officers, will focus on individual and team fundamental skills. Officers will emphasize the importance of teamwork, respect, attention to detail, effective communication, and knowledge of the game. SUMMER CAMP

Our camps provides a safe, fun and active environment in which children can develop new skills, self-esteem and friendships. We pride ourselves on offering an action-packed, varied and exciting camps. Our day camps offer a variety of activities to engage children of all ages and interests. Campers enjoy daily swimming and American Red Cross swim lessons, special events, field trips, arts & crafts, games and much more! Themes and activities vary from week to week and are designed to be age appropriate.

SKATE PARK
Martin Skate Park will be open and unsupervised daily during park hours from sunrise to sunset. All patrons must wear a helmet, elbow and knee pads and wrist guards. Bicycles are not permitted. Those who use the skate park do so at their own risk and must abide by the rules.
