Town Transfer Station Open Saturdays in May

East Hartford transfer station and office will be open every Saturday in May from 8:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. to assist residents with the disposal of their spring cleaning items

Transfer Station Open for Spring Cleanup

Mayor Marcia A. Leclerc and The Department of Public Works announced today that the East Hartford Transfer Station will be open every Saturday in May for residents’ spring cleanup.  Hours are from 8:00 to 1:45.  The Administration office will also be open for residents wishing to purchase bulky waste permits. The transfer station and office will resume their normal schedule on June 1, 2016.

Details regarding permit rules and fees as well as a list of acceptable items and items that can be dropped off free of charge can be found on the Town’s Public Works website. Residents may also get more information by calling 860-291-7363 or visiting the Public Works Administration office located at 61 Ecology Drive. 

The normal transfer station schedule is as follows:  Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 7:15 a.m. to Noon and 12:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.(holidays excluded), and the first and third Saturdays of the month from 8:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. (holidays excluded).  The transfer station is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
