Town of East Hartford to Host a Pop-Up Farmers’ Market with End Hunger CT and Killiam & Bassette Farmstead

East Hartford, CT—The Town of East Hartford is excited to announce a pop-up farmers’ market on Wednesday, November 29th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Raymond Memorial Library at 840 Main Street. East Hartford is partnering with End Hunger CT! and Killam & Bassette Farmstead to offer a last chance for residents with Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) and Women, Infants and Children (WIC) benefits to use their benefits before the programs expire on November 30th.

“With Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program and WIC benefits expiring on November 30th, East Hartford is doing their part to provide an opportunity for residents to utilize these benefits and support a local farm such as Killiam & Bassett Farmstead,” said Mayor Connor Martin.

Residents with SFMNP will need to bring their issued EBT card. Residents with WIC benefits will need to bring their phone to access their benefits from the SoliMarket app or bring their issued EBT card. In addition to accepting SFMNP and WIC benefits, Killam & Bassette Farms will be able to accept cash, credit, and Venmo.
