Free Shred Day!

(April 8, 2015) East Hartford, CT – Mayor Marcia A. Leclerc is proud to announce that the town will be hosting a “Shred Day,” in conjunction with EnviroShred at their facility at 22 Prestige Park Circle in East Hartford on Saturday, April 18. EnviroShred is an Easter Seals Capital Region & Eastern Connecticut, Inc business, which was developed in order to provide employment, training and rehabilitation opportunities for individuals with disabilities as well as provide income to support the overall mission of Easter Seals.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and is part of an effort by the town towards becoming more environmentally friendly through its “East Hartford Recycles!” campaign. Participants can bring up to three bags or boxes of documents to be safely shredded, at no cost, in addition to old ink cartridges.
