Town of East Hartford Launches New Website

July 23, 2014 – East Hartford CT -  Mayor Marcia Leclerc invites the local community to explore the Town of East Hartford’s new website, designed with a fresh new look and the ultimate in user-friendly experience, improved navigation, and functionality.  The new site includes new town information to help the community understand the complete range of service offerings from town departments.

Residents will have access to meeting schedules, calendars of local community events and activities, descriptions and contact information for various departments and agencies.  Online services such as bill pay, emergency alert notifications, permits, land records and Parks and Recreation registration are only a click away.

Said Mayor Leclerc, “One of our main goals was to build a user-friendly and simple to navigate site. The new design allows the users to quickly find the information and forms they need and offers the ability to sign up for automatic news, meetings and agenda updates. We hope that residents will enjoy browsing our new site, finding more options and information each time, and that it will be yet another tool for strengthening our community relations.”

This link allows residents to access to the most commonly asked questions such as how to register to vote, get a permit, find information on recreational activities, or look up a property assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions

To aid in the responsiveness of information for residents, key departments on the website each contain a section of “Frequently Asked Questions”. These questions and answers provide instant information on popular topics such as what to do during a parking ban, how to obtain a marriage or birth certificate, locations of affordable housing, applying for a handicap parking permits, and many more.

Document Library

This library contains commonly-used forms such as the Parks and Recreation rental and registration forms, marriage and birth certificate requests, building permit applications, and more.

Online Services

Residents can pay taxes, submit permits, access land records, register for programs, sign up for Connecticut Emergency alert notifications, and access the Geographic Information System (Interactive Maps).

Created with the user experience firmly in mind, the new Town of East Hartford   website has been designed using the latest technology so the site is compatible with today's browsers and mobile devices. New content will continue to roll out on the site over the coming months as the latest news, announcement and events are posted for community access.
