Town of East Hartford CDBG Survey Available Online

CDBG survey

East Hartford, CT— The Town of East Hartford has posted a Community Development Needs Survey on the Town’s website asking residents to rate the greatest needs in the community.

Each year, the Town of East Hartford receives a federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for housing and community development projects that primarily benefit low to moderate income residents. Every five years, a Consolidated Plan is created which outlines the areas in which the annual grant will be spent.  The Needs Survey offers the residents of East Hartford a voice in how CDBG funds are spent.

To access the survey, residents should visit this link.

Hard copy surveys are also available in the East Hartford Town Hall Grants Administration Office, Social Services Department (740 Main Street, East Hartford), South End Senior Center (70 Canterbury Street, East Hartford), East Hartford Youth Services, Parks and Recreation, WIC and the Raymond Library. All locations are ADA-compliant. Completed surveys must be submitted by February 28, 2020 in order for results to be considered in the Consolidated Plan.

Questions may be directed to Sara Ross, Housing Planning Analyst, in the Grants Administration Office (860) 291-7210.
