summer programming

East Hartford, CT – East Hartford Parks and Recreation is excited to offer summer camp programs, swim lessons and other outdoor pool programming for the 2021 summer season and planning is now underway! Our traditional summer camp program will be offered with some minor modifications to ensure the safety of both participants and staff, and expanded with new enrichment opportunities. The town’s outdoor aquatic facilities will also open with slight adjustments in capacity and hours, and swim lessons will be offered in small group classes or private instruction.

East Hartford Parks and Recreation Summer Camps will open on Monday, June 21st, 2021 and will run for 7 weeks, ending on Friday, August 6th, 2021.  Camps will once again be open only to East Hartford residents this year.  We will offer a full array of camp programs, serving children ages 3 - 15, and participants with special needs ages 6 - 21.  We’re also excited to announce a new collaboration with East Hartford Public Library, East Hartford Youth Services, and the East Hartford Police Department to provide some fantastic new activities and programming during our camps, including mental health support. Camps will be held at their regular locations, with each site designated to serve a specific age group:
