The Town of East Hartford Raises Pride Flag in Recognition of Pride Month

East Hartford, CT—Today, June 1st, on the first day of Pride Month, Mayor Marcia Leclerc joined East Hartford Town Clerk Robert Pasek to raise the Pride Flag that will fly at the East Hartford Town Hall throughout the month of June in recognition of LGBTQ+ community.

“The LGBTQ+ community in the Town of East Hartford continues to serve a vital function in all fields and professions, making significant contributions to every aspect of our diverse town,” said Mayor Marcia Leclerc. “The Pride Flag will fly high as a reminder that East Hartford believes in tolerance, respect and creation of an inclusive community for everyone.”

Pride Month is celebrated annually in the month of June, recognizing the strength, resilience and determination of the LGBTQ+ community that is fighting on a daily basis to live authentically and freely. The Town of East Hartford is proud to be a welcoming, diverse and inclusive community that fully supports the rights, freedoms, and equality of LGBTQ+ community.
