East Hartford, CT—East Hartford Library wants to hear your stories of East Hartford! Working in the Creative Commons of the East Hartford Public Library, artist Marc Pettersen is collecting stories to be part of the Makerspace Paper Theater, a collaborative art installation. The Makerspace Paper Theater will use the stories of East Hartford and a variety of media to transform a wood-framed paper presentation into a rich and fascinating depiction of the community. This multimedia project is supported by a project grant from the Connecticut Office of the Arts.

Did you grow up in East Hartford? Do you live or work here now? We are interested in hearing from you. To collect stories, Marc is holding open hours in the Creative Commons:

Mondays, March 18, 25 and April 1, from 4 PM to 7 PM

Fridays, March 29 and April 5, from 10 AM to 1 PM.

If you are unable to attend one of the sessions, please e-mail Marc to coordinate an appointment, or to submit your story in writing: makerspace@easthartfordct.gov. To be included in the Paper Theater, stories must be submitted by April 5.
